Job Description : Client is currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as a Process Engineer at our Dayton, TX location. In this role, you will have primary responsibility to increase the production of the Dayton site by developing detailed process design packages and providing project management and technical oversight. This role will participate full time on the Dayton Production Improvement Team and carry out project related action items as developed and assigned by the team. The work tasks for this role will focus on improving production efficiency and identifying and mitigating production bottlenecks. What will be expected from you? Provide management information and recommendations on evolving technologies. Prepare project scopes of work, justification and provide process and equipment specifications as necessary. Provide project coordination for capital projects as assigned through equipment selection, operator training, startup, and post audit to insure proper operation. Troubleshoot problems associated with day-to-day manufacturing. Develop and maintain relief device database. Familiar with Salus is a plus. Develop and maintain procedures. Participate in procedure audits. Report and present production improvement project progress periodically as requested or assigned. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis. Perform mass and energy balances, environmental release and other process engineering calculations as required. Support maintenance, EH&S, and operation as needed on day-to-day basis. Work with Research and Development on new products and projects. What are we looking for in the ideal candidate? BS in Chemical Engineering AND 5 years of related engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or refining industry is required. Batch production experience preferred. Strong computer skills, including process simulation tools such as Aspen a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. What can we offer you?
